The Hotel is immersed in a fantastic natural park, amidst centuries-old Holm-oaks, in a setting so peaceful that it's almost unreal, and just a stone's throw from Spoleto, a town where art, culture and history live together, offering the tourist the opportunity to experience unique sensations.

Monteluco is a place dedicated to personal care and relaxation, where it is possible to go on excursions along the numerous signposted pathways which can easily be followed on foot or mountain bike.

In conjunction with a Sporting Association, the Hotel organises guided excursions on mountain bike, along the numerous pathways in our area.

We have created various types of packages to satisfy the needs of every biker and to suit everyone's level of fitness.

All the excursions are studied individually with the excursionists.

The Hotel has a secure private deposit, washing facilities and a workshop which can carry out small emergency repairs, and for those who need a bike we have an extensive fleet of models available.

The MTB Teacher Training School and the Hotel are situated in one of the most atmospheric places in Umbria, where you can devote your holiday to relaxing and get to know people who share your interests.

The big wood of Monteluco is crossed by an extensive network of pathways, created in order to use the wood, where it was once possible to cut wood and prepare coal, some of which can still be followed today.

In addition to the pathways there are some mule tracks which have now taken on classic connotations, such as the "corta di Monteluco", an easy to follow mule track which climbs from Fortilizio dei Mulini, the structure next to the Ponte delle Torri, one of Spoleto's most important monuments, crosses the area of the hermitages and arrives at the monastery of St Francis.

It is still possible to see the oratory of St Francis, with the stone he used as a bed: it was restored in 1673. The 16th century church devoted to St Francis and St Catherine is decorated with a canvas by L. Baldi dating back to the 1600's. At the entrance to the monastery, on the left hand side, sits the chapel of St Bernardino from Sienna, built in 1954. Inside, one can see the cells of the primitive monastery and, in the middle of the cloister, the well, the water of which, according to tradition, is said to have been released from the bare rock by St Francis.
