Castello Dal Pozzo Oleggio Castello

Dal Pozzo Castle, once belonging to the Viscounts of Aragona, is in Oleggio Castello, a small hill town dominating Arona, Lake Maggiore. Situated on a large land terrace, half way along the coastline of gentle slopes going down to Arona, it has a vast panorama of the far end of the lake where the Ticino river joins it.

The castle is a unique Italian example of coherence, continuity and light neo-Gothic style, inspired by 16th century English Gothic style. British art experts have recently defined the architecture as one of the best interpretations of Victorian Age Tudor Gothic style.

The outside of the castle, with its portico, octagonal tower and chapel, transmits the Anglo-Saxon spirit while the inside wall stencil work, tile decoration and furniture, reflect William Morris’s work.

Immersed and surrounded by a wonderful green park, the large salons make the residence ideal for meetings, shows and ceremonies.

Bedrooms and suites are all finely furnished down to the smallest of details, reflecting the surroundings and have modern luxurious amenities.

From Milan

Take the A8 Motorway (Lakes/Laghi), after Gallarate continue on the motorway for Gravellona Toce (A26). Exit at Arona and follow the signs for Arona/Oleggio Castello. Follow the signs: at the traffic lights, turn left into Via Dal Pozzo and through the gates at the end of the road.

From Turin

Take the A4 Motorway (Turin/Milan), at Biandrate continue on the motorway for Gravellona Toce (A26). Exit at Arona and follow the signs for Arona/Oleggio Castello. Follow the signs: at the traffic lights, turn left into Via Dal Pozzo and through the gates at the end of the road.

From Genova

Take the A10 Motorway (Genova/Savona), continue on the (A26) in the direction of Alessandria-Gravellona Toce and after Borgomanero, continue on the A26 for Gravellona Toce. Exit at Arona and follow the signs for Arona/Oleggio Castello. Follow the signs: at the traffic lights, turn left into Via Dal Pozzo and through the gates at the end of the road.

BY TRAIN

The italian railway has a frequent daily servizi (Milan/Domodossola), stopping at Arona 3kms by car from the Castello. The Castello Dal Pozzo can organise a shuttle service on request.

BY AIR

From Malpensa International Airport (29kms by car from the Castello): take the A8 Motorway (Lakes/Laghi) for Gravellona Toce (A26). Exit at Arona and follow the signs for Arona/Oleggio Castello. Follow the signs: at the traffic lights, turn left into Via Dal Pozzo and through the gates at the end of the road.

The Castello Dal Pozzo can organise a shuttle service by bus and/or chauffeured limousine.
