Located in the commercial area of Mestre, at a short distance from the Parco San Giuliano and Ponte della Libertà, a bridge that connects Mestre to Venice, the hotel Alexander is a modern 4 star hotel, with modern design and amenities.

In the most modern and convenient part of Mestre, the Hotel Alexander is in the heart of the new business center of the city, where the branches and headquarters of some of the largest Italian and international companies, as well as important public offices are located. Only 10 minutes away from Venice (bus 100 meters away), it is ideal for both tourism and business travel. Hotel Alexander is situated in Mestre along the Salso Canal where the bridge across the lagoon begins, near the railway station and only 4 Km. from the international Marco polo airport. At the Hotel Alexander there are also meeting services. The 3 conference rooms, equipped with standard technology, provide a total of 100 places.

In front of the large important private DEC dock that serves speedboats and yachts, the Hotel Alexander can be seen from the Canal Salso, the waterway that connects Mestre and Venice, and it is only 5 minutes by car or bus from Piazza Ferretto, the city salon that offers pleasant strolls under the portico, among shops, boutiques, bars and gelato shops. A few minutes away from the hotel, you can also find the Parco di San Giuliano, in the area Bosco di Mestre, the largest urban park in Europe, a meeting place for joggers and cyclists, which extends as far as the Venice Lagoon. From the shores of the park you can enjoy a splendid view of Venice.

Information sur les transports

By car: from the Mestre By-pass, take the Porto Exit. At the big railroad bridge, turn left for the center of Mestre. Go straight towards Corso del Popolo and turn right at the traffic light at Via Torino. Go straight, and at the traffic light turn left on Viale Ancona. At the first traffic light turn right: this is Via Forte Marghera, go ahead 100 meters and you will see the sign for the Hotel Alexander on the left.

By train: the Hotel Alexander is 1,5 Km away from the Venice-Mestre Train Station. From here, take ACTV bus #9 towards Campalto and get off after approximately 15 minutes at Via Forte Marghera, the stop is 30 meters away from the hotel, or with a private taxi you can arrive at the hotel in 10 minutes.

By plane: from the "Marco Polo" Venice Airport, the Hotel Alexander is 7 Km away and can be reached with the ATVO shuttle service (blue bus), which departs every 20 minutes, and stops on via Forte Marghera 30 meters from the hotel, or with a private taxi you can arrive at the hotel in approximately 15 minutes.

Hotel Alexander Très bien, mais il manque les informations nécessaire au tourisme, pour la visite de Venise, les modes de transport, les points d'intérêt. Si non les petit déjeuner sont très bon et l'hôtel est très bien et surtout très bien situé pour visiter Venise.

Hotel Alexander The hotel is located at a few steps from the bus stop to get to Venice. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Very good breakfast. Strongly recommended.

Hotel Alexander This is a very good alternative to staying in the heart of Venice, particularly if you're travelling with a car. The hotel is only a 3 min walk to a bus stop, and a quick 10 min ride into Piazzale Roma in Venice. From there, you can hop straight on a Vaporetto and you're on the Grand Canal. The staff at the hotel were very kind, and we were able to buy our public transport tickets directly from the hotel front desk staff, and they gave us excellent directions. The room was quiet, clean and modern, and much bigger than you would expect in the heart of Venice. While it's true that Mestre doesn't have the same atmosphere as Venice itself, this is still a great way to see the city, while not spending a fortune.

Hotel Alexander the staff was nice, especially Bruno and the young man who served as the porter. the morning staff could have been more friendly. it was very easy to travel into venice from the hotel. the bus picks you up in front of the hotel and drops you off with ease. it is better to stay here and avoid the crowds in venice. the price is comprable to venice hotels but a better value. only a 15 minute bus ride or so. also would have been nice to have directions from the train station to the hotel. we figured that on our own.

Hotel Alexander In realtà un "quattro stelle" dovrebbe avere qualcosa in più ed, avendo alloggiato in altri hotel di pari categoria a Mestre, credo che non dipenda dalle fasce assegnate dalle regione Veneto. E' anche vero, però, che altri hotel di pari categoria, ugualmente a Mestre, mantengono il prezzo più alto rispetto a quello effettivamente pagato in questa occasione.

Hotel Alexander Gut war die Nähe zu Venedig, Parkmöglichkeit in der abgeschlossenen Tiefgarage. Potenzial haben die nicht mehr so frischen weissen Brötchen am Sonntagmorgen beim Frühstückbuffet. Die Wasserleitungen (WC-Spülung der angrenzenden Zimmer) weckten uns immer um 06:00 Uhr. Konnten nicht ausschlafen.

Hotel Alexander Ab der großen Bahnhofsbrücke in Mestre führen Schilder zum Hotel. Sauberes, gutes Hotel mit reichhaltigem Frühstück. Leckere Hörnchen mildern die etwas fehlende Abwechslung bei fünf Tagen. Das Personal war- falls vorhanden- freundlich und bemüht. Nur 3-5 Minuten per Fuß zum Bus 12 nach Venedig. Gute Verbindung alle 10 Minuten. Das Auto steht sicher in der Tiefgarage. Bei Zimmern zur Hauptstraße (Hafen) hin kann man eventuell regen Autoverkehr hören. Ansonsten eine ruhige Lage in einem Wohngebiet. Extra-plus: gute Betten mit tgl. frischer Bettwäsche; Badewanne.
