The main sorrento square “piazza tasso” is at 10 minutes by bus , or by taxi but it is pleasant a lovely walk.

It enjoys a charming and quite position with large sunny terraces laden of flowers and the gulf of neaples , with the sky reflecting on the sea, it seems to enter every room and makes a special fashination for every guest.

From the wide and elegant coral coloured terraces it is possible to admire the splendid Sorrento peninsula and entire gulf of Geaples. A unique locality where you can relax to the sun even during march. it is possible to spend time in a relaxing atmosphere where the silence is broken only by the flapping of the seagull’ wings.

History

The corallo was risen on the remains of a romano ninfeo, near the historical residence of the cloister of the old cappuccini monks.

Aformer elegant residential house, at the end of 1920s, was transformed into hotel named “cappuccini” leaving inalterated the late-liberty style with the plasters and railings of that period.

Soon, it became one of the most ideal meeting points for intellectuals and artists, as the famous writer Luigi Pirandello, who lived there in the 1930s.

During the following decade, the name was changed into “Hotel Rex” until 1960s, when was called “Corallo” because of the Corallo growing under the below waters.

the meeting rooms are available for 150 people sitting plus 5 at the presidential table located on the stage.

Many events are organized in low season an overhead projector, flip chart, microphone, photocopy machine etc. are available.

Every historical residence, dating back to the last century, offers a variety of different rooms in that style. The corallo has 55 rooms and almost have a balcony with terrace overlooking the bay of neaples and penisola sorrentina.

The clients spend a large part of their stay, admiring flowers and mediterranean vegetation or the sea, with the sensation to be on a ancient sailing vessel.

The same sensation is from the few rooms with window.

The 55 rooms, are selected in standard, superior, mini-suite and suite and each one has private services, air-conditioning, satellite television, direct dial phone, minibar and safe.

The elegant restaurant offers international and italian dishes.

Tthe priority goes to the mediterranean specialities, and nationality and internationality.

The organization uses seasonal products for the specialities and there is an excellent wine list offering the best italian wines only.

Information sur les transports

By Plane: Once landed at Capodichino Internatrional Airport in Naples, you can either use the Curreri bus service that takes you to Sorrento City centre in approximateli one hour, or we come arrange a private transfer from Naples airport to our hotel.

By Train: Once arrived at Naples Central Station you have to ask for the local rail system Circumvesuviana, take on the train to Sorrento and get off in Sant'Agnello (second last stop). Then you can walk to the hotel 700 mt.

By Car: Once arrived in Naples you must get the A3 motrway Napoli - Salerno, south direction and get off in Castellammare di Stabia, then follow the signs to Sorrento.
The brown signs "Penisola Sorrentina", placed at main junction between Naples and Sorrento will help you.

By Ferry: You can use the hydrofoil service from Molo Beverello in Naples to Sorrento (30 min.).
